A customer Donita H., relates to us that she got an estimate from Jake Howell of Howell Garage Doors in April or May 2013 and only after much delay on the part of Jake Howell, did installation of two of the three doors finally take place in July. Jake Howell further delayed in installing the remaining third door until August, which was then 3 to 4 months after being contracted for the work.
Even once that final door was installed, Jake Howell was supposed to return to install the automatic openers, which he claimed would take only an hour of work and was "no big deal", yet never did as of January 2014. The customer says she's made numerous phone calls to which Jake Howell does not answer the phone unless the customer calls from a different number, indicating to the customer that Jake Howell is avoiding her phone calls. Additionally, messages left by the customer for Jake Howell do not get returned.
An editor at The Prime Buyer's Report made several phone calls to Jake Howell and Howell Garage Doors in an attempt to get a resolution for the customer, but no one ever answered, and the several detailed voice mail messages left for Jake Howell all went unreturned. Though after the first voice mail message left for Jake Howell by The Prime Buyer's Report, he did call the customer as a result and make an appointment to come out to customer's property that Saturday to finally install the openers, an appointment which Jake Howell then did not show up for nor make any subsequent call to customer about.
