On May 31 2010 a consumer Julianne in San Bruno submitted a review saying she believes she is owed a refund from White Ivie Pet Hospital because the treatment her dog received was more than what was required with the motive to inflate the cost, that the pain medication prescribed made the dog ill, that the follow up treatment being recommended was unnecessary, and that the hospital canceled a follow up appointment with the reason given that they felt it best she seek another vetinarian if she didn’t trust their treatment. The consumer then brought her dog to a different veterinarian who gave additional treatment.  

The Prime Buyer’s Report contacted White Ivie Pet Hospital whose owner explained that the work up they did was reasonable for the dog’s symptoms and that the follow up treatment the dog received at the second veterinarian was exactly what their own doctor had prescribed.  The Prime Buyer’s Report contacted the second pet hospital and was told the work-up given by White Ivie Pet Hospital was aggressive but reasonable for a potentially fatal condition and the reason this second pet hospital didn’t do the same workup is because they knew it had already been performed by White Ivie Pet Hospital.
