It's not uncommon for roofing companies to trick customers into thinking they've gotten a better deal than they have.
In fact, many homeowners hire a roofing company and are excited to see that they're eligible for a 50-year warranty. But then, after they've signed a contract or at the end of the job, they discover things aren't exactly as they seem. That 50-year warranty comes with a catch: they either have to pay extra for it or the company wasn't certified by the manufacturer or didn't take all of the steps necessary to give the homeowner the protection of those manufacturer warranties.

"Given the surging cost of energy and water, my wife and I wanted to install solar panels on our roof and convert new and existing rain gutters into a water reclamation and storage system. "I am highly impressed with Dority Roofing. We do not make decisions easily and Kasey was very impressive with his knowledge and we felt comfortable with him and knew he would be easy to work with. He was not the lowest bid, but we felt he was the right person to do the job right.
He was helpful in making sure we had a lot of houses to look at to get an idea of how our new roof would look. We even changed the type of roofing shingle just a day before the crew was to begin, and Kasey went out of his way to change the order.
The crew was fantastic. We have open beam ceilings which would have rained dirt into the house during the roofing process. The crew taped up plastic wrap under the ceilings all over the house (took many hours); it was impressive how much dirt there was, and none got into the house. The crew worked efficiently and took care of everything. Roofing license was obtained on short notice. Metal work subcontractor arrived and did their work on time and even worked late so as to have job done for the roofers the next day. Roofing crew cleaned up after work each day and you wouldn't have known that the roofing was even in progress at the end of each day. Finally once the job was done it was DONE. For example, there were spots uncovered on the adjacent walls that needed painting. The crew took care of that so that nothing was incomplete.

"I started out knowing that I needed to replace my roof this year and was searching to decide which company to work with. Then I realized that my skylights were as old as my roof and I was sure that it would be best to replace them at the same time.
Initially I was interested in working with Dority because they offer a copper shingle option. While I didn't end up choosing copper, I am truly pleased that I chose them. The owners, Kasey and Monique Dority, are wonderful to work with. Kasey is very knowledgeable. He was also very patient and encouraged me to take my time in deciding on a roofing material and skylights. In addition, he introduced me to their solar shingles, and I decided to have enough installed to offset my yearly electric costs.
He has one crew that does the removal of the old roof and the installation of the new one. Many of the crew members are carpenters, which reassured me that they would be able to detect and handle any problems with regard to the infrastructure should any be discovered. The few times crew members had to enter my home, they always removed their footwear. Kasey was always on site at least once a day to ensure everything was going smoothly. Monique is very friendly and was always prompt and thorough in regard to handling all of the paperwork.

"We own a lovely cottage in the heart of Carmel and have spent the last year renovating it. Along the way, we have worked with the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to contractors. The final piece of the jigsaw was to fit a replacement roof. Carmel City are pretty set in their attitudes towards what materials constitute an acceptable roof that ‘fits' the locale. As such, the old wood shakes roof we had inherited had to be replaced with another of the same material.
We searched online, asked our neighbors and drove around to get local roofing companies to provide us with a quote. In the end, we appointed DORITY ROOFING of Pacific Grove to do the job. The initial meetings we had with Monique and Kasey (the owners) gave us the level of confidence we were looking for. Dority were not the cheapest, but their professional approach, detailed timeline and seamless service gave them an edge over the competition. We duly signed a contract to have 3/4 inch Canadian cedar shakes installed alongside nine new Vellux skylights, with extensive copper flashing. The date for starting the installation was agreed.
On the first day, as the sun came up, they came out of the West - THE FOUR MUSKETEERS - Wayne, Jose, Ruben and Jorge. The work they did for us was beyond first class. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING was too much trouble. Their workmanship was truly marvelous. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day and gave us a roof that really does our cottage justice. Kasey was there first thing every morning to meet with his Musketeers and ensure that everything was progressing as planned.
They were friendly and had a genuine pride in their work that reflected in the finished roof. We would recommend Dority Roofing to ANYONE who is looking for a company that truly delivers what it promises."

Dear Kasey,
We had been wanting to replace our shake shingle (fire unsafe) roof and maybe install solar power in our house, but we were overwhelmed with the choices and the whole process. We met with different roofers but it was hard to get a sense of what was involved until we met with Dority Roofing. Kasey walked us through what was involved, gave us several options and the corresponding bids. The prices were fair.
